Three Years Strong!!

der Keller: noun: a place of fortnightly meeting for people who want to hear something different.

A primer for a Friday night out on the town.

The last year has seen a few fundamental changes to der Keller.

Phildo (self-confessed stasis-looped grunge boy) joined the crew bringing with him his collection of

90's alternative and indie. We experimented with a dancefloor, which while novel, did not take off.

We will occassionally pull it out though (the dancefloor that is).

Alliances with Amplifier bar were strengthened.

The formula has been simple:

Good music.

Cheap alcohol.

Casual atmosphere.

The absence of light.

No diatribe this time.

Thank you for another year of service!

The following people have been instrumental to the on-going success of der Keller, and are deserving of the highest thanks we can offer: Peter and Simon of Hickey's Cinecellar's Tavern, for giving us a home. Their long-suffering barstaff Neil, Sam, and Justin for putting up with our patrons when they play with the candles and make a mess. Sean, Fiona, and Nadine of gothic.net.au, for hosting us reliably, answering all my annoying email and just being really cool people in general. Dominion and Nevermore, for giving us cross-promotion and a go at playing music to a dance-floor crowd. Nick and Toby from Amplifier, for giving our patrons a second home as well as helping us with sponserships. Darkwings, for letting people know about our existence. Dan, Sevita, Kira, Louis, Pete, Christian, Daniel, Toby, Craig, Sean, Chris, Phillip, Gaby, Steve and everyone else who I've had the pleasure of working with, Kate from Universal, Patrick from Hammerheart, Jarod from GUP, Julie from Moev, Martin from Attrition, Simon from Avrigus, RoryClaireEmmy from *Conditions Apply, Mardi from Fiction8, Amanda from Coven XIII, Viir from Oxygen Law, Allan from Morfiouz, Keleka from Tonedeaf, Adam from Zeitgeist, I know I've forgotten people goddamnit. Nathan, James and Pete, who opened my mind to another world. Thanks -Mikkael
